Frequently asked questions
Practical answers about the schematics, the website, and making a build your own.
01What are these files?
Published builds provide original .litematic schematic files for Minecraft Java Edition. A schematic describes a build; it is not a complete saved world. The site does not provide a Bedrock conversion.
02How do I download a build?
Open a published build and choose Download .litematic. You do not need an account. The file information shows its actual name, size, and SHA-256 checksum so you can verify the original download.
03How do I use a schematic in Minecraft?
Use Litematica with a compatible Minecraft Java installation. Download the matching mod release and its listed dependencies, put the file in your instance’s schematics folder, then load and position it.
04Will every build work in my Minecraft version?
Check the build’s Tested version. “Not specified” means no personally tested version has been recorded. A build’s dimensions, project scope, or file validation do not prove in-game compatibility. Try unfamiliar schematics in a separate creative test world first.
05Why are some cards labelled Layout examples?
These are clearly labelled preview cards that demonstrate the website layout when no builds have been published. Their existing rendered images are not in-game screenshots, and the cards do not offer schematic downloads or represent published builds.
06What happens when a schematic is updated?
Shared version links identify a specific saved original. Earlier published originals can be listed on the build page. A link remains usable only while the build and that version are available publicly; drafts, unpublished builds, and deleted content are not public downloads.
07How do reactions work?
You can choose Love, Epic, or Want to Build for a published schematic version. One reaction is active per visitor for that version: choose it again to remove it, or choose another to switch. A browser cookie remembers the visitor reference. Counts come from saved reactions.
08Can I share a build on social media or another website?
Use the build’s sharing tools to copy its exact version link, prepare a TikTok caption, open the Facebook share dialog, or copy a credited embed. These are actions you choose; the site does not automatically post to your social accounts. Keep the visible source credit when sharing.
09What do collections, subcollections, and build scope mean?
Collections group builds by theme. A parent such as Halloween can include subcollections such as Houses, Decorations, and Creatures. Build scope is the creator’s Small project, Medium build, or Epic build classification; it is not an automatically inferred difficulty or block-count threshold.
10What is a build series?
A series connects published builds with the same series name and an explicit position. When available, the build page offers previous and next links and an ordered list. Private drafts are excluded, and positions may have gaps.
11Who can upload and publish?
Only the verified website owner can use the Creator Studio to upload files, add images and videos, edit details, and publish. New imports are private drafts. Publishing requires the original schematic, title, selected image cover, and a specific video linked to that file. Visitors can vote on ideas shared on the Build Ideas page. Visitors can send a private build-idea request on that page. Requests use words only, with a title up to 80 characters and a message up to 300. Only the owner can review, delete or turn requests into voting topics in Creator Studio.
12Do download statistics count unique people?
No. The owner’s statistics count successful public schematic file requests, including repeated requests. They do not confirm completed downloads or unique visitors. Earlier downloads from before tracking began are not included.
13What are the usage rules, and how can I ask the creator?
Read any credit or usage notice in the build description and original file metadata. The website does not assign a universal reuse licence. For permission or attribution questions, contact Voxel Wonders through the official channel links on this page.
